RANDOM VIDEOS
These are videos I’ve found on YouTube and absolutely love, so whenever you have time on your hands or you’re up late at night wanting to watch something entertaining. This page is updated every so often you make sure to check back in often for new updates.
Dating Beyond Boards- If you ever find yourself in a relationship with someone who’s from a different culture than you, you might learn a few things about them and laugh a little bit along the way.
Entertainment from Lomepal- Lomepal is my favorite French artist at the moment. These are a few videos that I personally find entertaining from him. There is a documentary about the making of his most recent album, the live show he did a year ago, LE VERITE SHOW, featuring just about all of the people he’s worked with, and a mini concert he did for ARTE Concert.
Planète Rap Sessions: Freestyle sessions from some of my favorite artists. They’re rather fun to watch.
Groom- A French YouTube series about a man who’s father is a rich man who owns a chain of hotels. He later pushes his limits too far and gets cut off. (You know how that goes…)
Alvaro Soler- The Tuk Tuk Listenings
When Alvaro Soler released his album Mar de Colores, he did a YouTube series where he went around Berlin in a Tuk Tuk and gets people to ride with him while listening to his new songs, and give him feedback on his music. Multiple languages are present throughout the series, so I would watch out for that.
Alles was zählt vlog series with Namika
This vlog series came out after Namika released her most recent album Que Walou where we get to follow her around as she meets with different people about different things like taking time for yourself, friendship, cooking, and more. She is my all time favorite German artist.
This is 2 part film about Nico who arrives from Spain to visit his aunt in Germany. He loses his bag while talking to a little girl and ends up meeting new friends as he finds his things and adjusts to living in Germany. The English translation is Nico’s Way and I think it’s a great 2 part series for beginners who want to learn German. It feels like you’re learning with him because he’s coming from Spain not knowing much German and throughout the series you see his German improving.
Gronigen: The World’s Cycling City
I found this video as a link from an online course on Dutch and it’s a short film about the massive bike culture in Gronigen. This is really cool when you think about Dutch culture because it takes you less time to ride your bike somewhere than it does by car, actually the city actively disencourages people from traveling by car. Honestly, that should take that up here in cities like Los Angeles where traveling by car is the standard and the air quality is not that great. I encourage you to check it out!
